What Varieties of 3-Way Ball Valves Exist? There exist two varieties of 3-way ball valves, namely the L-Port and the T-Port. The L-Port has the capability to direct flow in one direction or the other, or to halt it entirely. On the other hand, the T-Port can accomplish the same flow functions as the L-Port, however, it lacks the ability to be fully closed.

Turn the locking device in a clockwise direction to reposition it, thereby unlocking the valve. Lift the device upwards and continue rotating it further.
Turn the spherical object multiple times. Once the valve has been shut, unseal the closed termination to inspect for any escapes. Additionally, verify the sealing capability of the packing and gasket to ascertain there are no leaks.
